Albania Tirana
Tirana Albania is situated in central Albania about 15km from Tirana Airport, it was founded in 1614 by Sulejam Pasha and became the capital of Albania in 1920. The city of Tirana is the home of the University Tirana and is a charming and beautiful city offering plenty to see by day and a busy nightlife.
Places to visit include Museums such as the Natural History Museum, the Archaeology Museum and the National Culture Museum. The mosque of Et’hem Bey is considered one of the most beautiful mosques in Albania and is situated in the main Skenderberg Square. The city hosts an annual film festival when the work of Albanian film makers is promoted. There are many parks to wander through and artificial lakes which are accentuated by the beauty of the open spaces and mountains surrounding the city.
The area itself has been occupied since Neolithic times and is one of the earliest regions in Albania to have evidence of human occupation. It’s position on a rich fertile plain made the development possible and it is the meeting place of the West and the Orient which gives Tirana it’s unique ambience.
Austria Vienna
Vienna (Wien) is the capital of Austria and the home of the United Nations, OPEC and IAEA and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Vienna’s has a rich musical history and is the site of the residences of Ludwig Van Beethoven and Joseph Haydn as well as the memorial graves of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Places to see include the Schloss Schonbrunn which is the supreme palace of Vienna and includes magnificent gardens and a zoo. There are also many beautiful religious buildings, the opera house, the Spanish Riding Scholl and the Vienna Boys Choir.

Austria Dornbirn
Dornbirn Austria is an important commercial and shopping centre. Dornbirn is situated in the centre of the Rhine Valley at the edge of the eastern Alps and is serviced by Zurich Kloten, Munich and Stuttgard airports.
Dornbirn is rated one of Austria’s most attractive towns with many recreational parks and features cultural highlights and events throughout the year.

Austria Graz
Graz, Austria is the second largest city in Austria after Vienna, it is the capital of the state of Styria, a UNESCO World Heritage site and was Cultural Capital for Europe in 2003. Graz has long been a student city and has six universities with some 44,000 students. The universities boast such famous former students as Nikola Tesla (amongst Tesla’s inventions is the Tesla coil) and professors including Johannes Kepler mathematician, astronomer and astrologer after whom the Kepler Spacecraft was named. Just 2km from Graz is the birthplace of Arnold Schwarzenegger who, having won Mr Universe at the age of 22 went on to become an actor and the governor of California.

Austria Innsbruck
Innsbruck Austria is situated in the western area of the country and is the capital of the Tyrol region. It is easily accessible from Innsbruck Airport which is only 15 minutes from the city centre. Innsbruck hotels range from Youth Hostels to Five star luxury and cater for every budget.

Austria Klagenfurt
Klagenfurt, Austria has a population of around 90,000 and is the sixth largest city in Austria. Klagenfurt Airport lies about 3km from the city centre and is served by airlines including Air Berlin, Lufthansa, Ryanair and TUIfly.
Klagenfurt city is located on the eastern shore of lake Wothernsee and is known a the Austrian Riviera because of it’s Mediterranean summer climate and many sunny winter days.

Austria Linz
Linz Austria is situated on the banks of the Danube, it is a modern student and industrial city more representative of true Austrian life than the fairy tale of Salzburg. It is served by the Blue Danube airport which has airlines including Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, Air France and Ryanair amongst others.
Linz is the European Capital of Culture 2009 and says of itself that it is a stage all year long with events from a very diverse spectrum of entertainment. There are Museums for everyone, ranging from Dentistry to Modern Art.
He city has four universities, The University Johannes Kepler, (called after the German mathematician, astronomer and astrologer who was resident in Linz and after whom the Kepler spacecraft and Kepler telescope have been named) The Anton Bruckner Private University for Music Drama and Dance named after the famous composer), the University of Arts and Industrial Design and the Catholic Theological Private University. Amongst Linz famous residents is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart who wrote his Symphony No 36 (the Linz Symphony) for a concert in the city.
Austria Salzburg
The City of Salzburg is the fourth largest city in Austria. It is well known as the birthplace of Amadeus Wolfgang Mozart and as the setting for parts of the film and musical The Sound of Music.
The Old Town of Salzburg is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and contains many fines examples of baroque architecture. Salzburg Cathedral (Dom of Salzburg) has been a ritual place since Celtic and Roman times and the first Dom was recorded as early as 774AD, the current Cathedral was rebuilt and re-opened in 1954 the older buildings having suffered badly from fires and bombing during World War 2.
Salzburg stands on the banks of the river Salzach with the Alps to the south, it is the perfect destination for summer sightseeing, when it hosts the world famous Salzburg Music Festival, or for winter ski holidays . It is easily accessible from Salzburg Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Airport which is 3km from the city centre and is the main gateway to the many ski resorts of Austria.
Austria St Poelten
St Poelten, is Austria’s oldest city and replaced Vienna as the capital of Lower Austria in 1986. It has hosted the Lower Austrian Government since 1997. It’s main industrial companies include Solzer paper, Leiner furniture and the engineering conglomerate Voith. It is also the home to more than 50 educational establishments including the Austrian University of Applied Science, one of Austria’s most modern universities
St Poelten is within easy travelling distance (about 80km) of Vienna International Airport.
It is a city of contrasts from a beautifully preserved Old Town with buildings from every important architectural period including the Rathaus (Town Hall) and the Cathedral to the ultramodern Government Quarter and Cultural District it has a style for everyone.
There are many sporting facilities in St Poelten, in fact it is known as the sport capital of Austria, including three lakes offering 118 miles of running trials, cycle tracks and hiking routes giving everyone the chance to experience nature whilst still staying within the diverse city of St Poelten.
Austria Steyr
Steyr Austria is located in Upper Austria where the rivers Steyr and Ems join near the town centre by the magnificent Babenberg Castle (Schloss Lamberg). Steyr is a fairytale town within easy reach of Linz and Vienna.
Although it is a beautiful town it is very well known as a major manufacturing centre being the home of the Josef and Franz Wernol Company who were the original producers of Steyr Automobiles, Steyr rifles and Steyr handguns. The company later merged to become Steyr Daimler Puch producing diesel engine trucks, buses and tractors but also assembled the FIAT 1100E and produced the Puch500 as well as a range of off road cars including the Haflinger, the Pinzgauer the FIAT Panda 4x4 and the Mercedes Puch G. Although the company was split in 1990 Steyr remains the home of Steyr Mannlicher (producers of firearms such as Steyr AUG), Steyr Tractors and Steyr Motors amongst others.
Austria Wiener Neustatd
Wiener Neustatd, Austria is a town located just to the south of Vienna. Although it’s name loosely translates as New Vienna it was founded in 1194 as a frontier fortress against the Magyars (Hungary) by Duke Leopold V who paid for the construction of Wiener Neustatd with a ransom paid for English King Richard the Lionheart who had been held hostage in Austria. It eventually became an industrial centre in the 19th century anda centre for aircraft construction in the early 20th century. Wiener Neustatd is now an important centre for industry, trade and research.

Austria Zell am See
Zell am See is located in the Austrian district of Salzburg in a beautiful lakeside setting on the Zeller See (Lake Zeller). It is has a charming \old town with a very lively nightlife.
Zee am See is primarily a ski resort with a huge range of cross country slopes and a couple of steep black runs and is close to the Kaprun glacier giving the opportunity for all year round ski holidays. There are also 83 wonderful Zell am See walks where you can hike through the amazing scenery to over 2000 metres (or even higher for climbers with the correct equipment). For the less fit you can easily climb the mountains on one of the many cable cars, either way you will obtain gorgeous views of the entire region from either the Kitzsteinhorn (3203mtrs) or the Schmitterhohe (2100 mtrs). Golf enthusiasts are also well catered for as the Kitzsteinhorn and the Schmitterhohe golf courses make up the largest golf resort in the Austrian Alps combining championship courses with unspoilt, unrivalled scenery for the ultimate golf holiday experience.
